Incidentally, I ended up deleting the odd few messages in the run-up, on occasions where I'd posted in haste and made an error, then gone back and corrected it (since there's no 'Edit' function). That wasn't a deliberate tactic to reach the milestone, but it might have helped us get there a bit quicker. Then again, I dare say it would have happened a fair few times over the years, before I bust onto the scene! AFAICT, post # 6000 was Ian's post #56 in a thread in the Contributor Lounge concerning a certain new project. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
