File Name: JetSet Willy (Amstrad)

File Submitter: Spider

File Submitted: 26 May 2017

File Category: Jet Set Willy [Originals]

System: Amstrad
Original Author(s): Matthew Smith
Third Party Author(s): D.P.Rowson & S.Wetherill

JetSet Willy for the Amstrad CPC range of machines. It is compatible with the 464,664 and 6128.

Only the disk version (.dsk) is present as it appears the tape versions are actually JSW2 (Final Frontier) despite not always being branded that way. This is an original disk.

The game closely follows the Spectrum version and plays just as well. The 'in game' tune is different but the game play is much the same.

The scrolling message reads as follows:

© 1985 SOFTWARE PROJECTS . . .

- JET SET WILLY - . . . . . . .

Control keys are :- LEFT=Q,E,T,U,O; RIGHT=W,R,Y,I,P; JUMP=<SHIFT> TO <SHIFT>(bottom row) + <SPACE>; PAUSE=A to H; TUNE ON/OFF=J to <ENTER>; Also use cursor keys for LEFT/RIGHT, up arrow or <COPY> to JUMP; Supports Joysticks on port#0; Press <ESC> to ABORT the game! . . . . .
original concept by Mathew-JET-SET-Smith. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

OH by the way. If you press H while this message is going past .It will take you back to the high score table. . . . .
All the best to T.K..

P.S. don't miss the boat in THE - FINAL - FRONTIER. . . . . . . . . .

One slightly interesting thing I have only really just noted is the 'sloped roof' in 'Halfway up the East Wall' is not set as an active ramp, he can freely stand and move on it without fear of being thrown off the end.
