#361 Games Review logo for Gibraltar magazine

Posted by Scott James Barber on 17 September 2015 - 05:22 PM

I'm buying a magazine business in Gibraltar, which will cover all lifestyle related subject, including monthly game reviews.

I wanted a retro JSW style banner for this section, and have had a couple of attempts myself. Both incorporate my 2 favourite games - JSW and Booty.

If anyone can come up with a better JSW design based around a Gibraltar theme, please feel free to create and post here. Any help would be much appreciated....

#345 ZX Spectrum VEGA - JSW 2 not working

Posted by Scott James Barber on 25 August 2015 - 05:36 PM

I've not really looked into the Vega much although I have read a few others thoughts on Facebook about it. :) It seemed to have a mixed reception.

Have you tried the 128K JSW2 ? Its the same game it just got some built in cheats, that might actually work better. The only reason its 128K only is simply as the 'menu' for the cheats (in game) could not go into the existing space (as there was none!)

What format does the Vega accept on its memory cards ?

You'll have to turn it into a .sna / .z80 or possibly a .tap , I'm assuming the Vega will accept a 128K file. I do not have a 'real' Kempston interface to check this though.

It reads TAP files. I'll give the 128k version a whirl, see if that is any better....

#336 The mysterious Room 47

I am still intrigued by the infamous Room 47, and why Smith created such a room, to the extent of having it as one of the numbered screens. You can drop from it into Conservatory Roof, but you cannot access it by jumping up from that screen (using the long jump poke). which makes me wonder if there was any other way of accessing it from another room.

Does anyone else have any info on this room?

#335 The Attic Bug Seen In Action

Thanks for the screenshots. I didn't realise how messy the game would get the longer you play with the Attic Bug doing its magic.
