Spider
View File JetSet Willy 2 (Amstrad) JetSet Willy 2 aka "The Final Frontier" for the Amstrad CPC range of machines, written by D.P.Rowson & S.Wetherill Two original tape (.cdt) versions are provided: V1 is the first original release and has the keypad code. It should be noted this does not run properly on the 6128 machines.V2 is the later / re-release version. This is compatible with the 464,664 and 6128. There is no keypad. I'd recommend using V2 in most cases, although the keypad codes (all seven pages) of them are included in the download if required. The game is about identical to the Spectrum version, which is no surprise as this version was written first then ported across to the Spectrum. The 'in game' tune is different but the game play is much the same. The scrolling message reads as follows: 1985 SOFTWARE PROJECTS . . . JET SET WILLY - The Final Frontier . . .Control keys are :- LEFT=Q,E,T,U,O; RIGHT=W,R,Y,I,P; JUMP= to (bottom row) + ; PAUSE=A to H; TUNE ON/OFF=J to ; Also use cursor keys for LEFT/RIGHT, up arrow or to JUMP;Supports Joysticks on port#0;Press to ABORT the game! . . . . .Right! . . . . This is the adventure of MINER WILLY retold. This time the truth is out. Strange things did happen to Willy when he explored his huge mansion. This time no expense has been spared in allowing you to recreate the magical escapade of Willy on his travels. All you need is stamina and guts to overcome all the seemingly impossible odds. . .GOOD LUCK! . . . . . .Developed from an original idea by Matthew-JET-SET-Smith. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Watch out for the Yacht! . .Beware of the Sewers! . .Willy in Space? . .Willy or won't he? . .Boldly go where no Willy has gone before! . .Here are some of Willy's holiday snaps. . . Spider
Potentially the following POKES could fix the first version but they need entering on the title / scrolling message page itself. Easy on an emulator but on a real machine the R.R Multiface for the Amstrad or similar device would be required.
