jetsetdanny
Thanks, Ligan, it's very interesting and important info for anyone who wishes to play / investigate Craig Rothwell's version seriously :). Spider

I'm not sure if it was a problem with the game or with my computer but, basically, after pressing C in the main menu the floor would crumble when you walked on it. If you were playing Manic Miner (or 7) you'd skip a bunch of levels when you fell through the floor. I used to think that was supposed to be the hint because the C in "Craig" is in parentheses at the bottom of the page, but the cheat page doesn't mention it ... That's not really a bug... quoting from the game's text file: Quote 'C' lets you enter 'Madness' mode in which all the floors sink as you walk on them. Try it, see how many objects you can get! So yeah, that's not a bug, that's a feature :P although personally it almost never seems to work for me, at least in v1.01a... jetsetdanny and Spider

I wrote a review of it for the EUG magazine back in the day, which can be found here: http://www.acornelectron.co.uk/eug/revs/pc_games/Jet_Set_Willy_PC_000.html i ripped the music from this version (the MS-DOS version, not the windows re-release) some few weeks ago it turns out that JSW-DAT2.DAT is actually an .xm (extended module) file in disguise containing every single song in the game, which i then cut up into individual files (like 33 total songs including 7 unused ones and 2 from craig r.'s jsw remake which were uncut versions of 2 in-game songs) here: JSW_PC.rar Spider, SymbolShift and jetsetdanny
jetsetdanny
Thanks for this, Gyrominiac! It's nice to have these tunes 🙂 . I've just played them in the VLC media player 👍. Gyrominiac
Gyrominiac
the ending in the remake is a little different from the original game here's a video of it that i took myself (after countless quicksaves on the DOS version) (VLC messed up while converting the video from avi to mp4 so theres no audio 😕) (also this is the very first time i've beaten JSW without cheats (if you count the built-in quicksave/quickload feature in the DOS version as not being a cheat), the wine cellar was probably the room i had the most deaths in) jsw_000.mp4 Edited June 29 by Gyrominiac Spider
