SteveSmith
Hi, I hope it's okay to post this here. I've been working on this game for a few months, and it's now ready for public release. It's a sort-of JSW remake, but more of a mash-up of lots of other classic Speccy games. If it proves popular, I'll be slowly adding more and more. It can be played online right here, right now: https://stevesmith16384.bitbucket.io/superspectrumworld/index.html Here's a short video of a few screens of the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyAr51RcP_k Cheers, and hope you like it! Spider
Welcome! :) That's perfectly fine to post here. I did see your screenshot on WOS and first thought they looked like Cybernoid graphics, however I have since played it and noted the huge variety (this is a good thing) of game graphics in use. jetsetdanny
SteveSmith
Cheers. :) Yes, at the moment there's about 20 screens, all unique, and all with several references to different Spectrum games. I was also going to try and add stuff like a Jetman trailer and any other "folklore" I can think of. Spider and jetsetdanny
jetsetdanny
Great stuff, thanks for creating it and posting about it here! I can see references to a number of my favourite games there, that's very nice. :) I look forward to playing the game when time permits. Can it be completed (i.e. is there a definite ending)? Edited April 3, 2019 by jetsetdanny Spider
SteveSmith
Thanks. :) No, it can't be completed yet. First I have to think of something to show if a player does complete it (probably just a "well done" in classic Spectrum fashion). It's more of an adventure to discover all the rooms. I mean, did anyone seriously try and complete Jet Set Willy? ;) Spider

The Equalizer
This is a great idea. I love what you've got so far. Do you have plans for a downloadable version in the future? jetsetdanny and Spider
SteveSmith
This is a great idea. I love what you've got so far. Do you have plans for a downloadable version in the future? Thanks a lot. I could probably create a downloadable version quite easily, I just didn't imagine there would be any demand for it since it can be played instantly in a browser. jetsetdanny
If a downloadable version was available, I would download it immediately. It Edited April 17, 2019 by jetsetdanny Spider and The Equalizer
SteveSmith
Fair enough. :) There's now a link to download it, on the same page. You'll need Java to run it if you haven't already got it. The Equalizer, Spider and jetsetdanny
