I thank again its creator John Elliott. I do not know if he's part of this group?

Yes, he's a member here, although rather an infrequent visitor. He joined this forum on September 14, 2014 and has posted 15 messages over the years. He last visited the forum on February 26, 2024. However, should you ever need to contact him regarding something related to JSWED, it can be done by e-mail, he responds quickly and is always helpful 🙂 .

I look forward to the picture of the title screen. I love all your previous JSW128 and JSW64 title screens! 🙂

Hello Daniel and the whole jsw community !

Here is a progress report on the creation of my future game :

I have made and tested 39 rooms (61%).

I’m currently working on 2 complex rooms.

Willy can already move around all the rooms.

All the traps work and can be crossed without dying even if sometimes it seems impossible!

I have not continued, for the moment, the design of the title screen.

There is still a lot of work to be done !

Have a good week everyone.

See you soon

Hervé

hello Daniel and everyone

Here is a progress report on the creation of my new game.
-> I have finished and tested 50 rooms (78%)
The two complicated rooms are finished. i spent several days for each of them.

Update on other projects:
I discovered that my project "Welcome to Willy's Fun Park!" was quite advanced, so I'm already working on the creation of the rooms. it will probably be released before the end of the year 2025.

I abandoned the following projects:
""Willy in Cathar Country" and "Jet Set Willy: The Labyrinth"

I added 4 news projects.
I will keep one "8 - unnamed" because as a clue it is named twice in the rooms of my current project! It's up to you to guess it! it's easy :-)

Here is the list which should not change much.

5 - Willy in the Islands of Mystery: part II The temple  64[ - 64 rooms
6 - Welcome to Willy's fun Park ! 64Z - 64 rooms
7 - "Willy Saves Maria 64[ - 64 rooms
8 - It's up to you to discover it by playing my next game! 64W - 128 rooms
9 - Exploration of Rama III (the title can still change) we explore the third ship. everything goes by three! 64[ - 64 rooms
10 - JSW Journey to the Center of the Earth 64W - 128 rooms
11 - surprise also for the theme and the name of this project 64[ - 64 rooms
12 -  Jet Set Willy : the Legend of the Pied Piper 64W - 128 rooms
13 - Willy in the Great Pyramid 64W - 128 rooms.

This list will be updated with the progress of the creations.
I hope to release two games per year!

See you soon
Hervé

Hello, Hervé,

Thank you so much for the updated list of your future projects. It's EXTREMELY impressive and I honestly hope you will be able to create all of these games. I will certainly always do my best to encourage you to continue, and I will assist you with playtesting and everything else I can 🙂 .

Good luck with that list, it's very impressive, surely you will have done more versions of JSW than anyone if you manage to achieve all of these?

I am sure Danny can tell us who holds the record for most versions of JSW at this time Danny, that is the original version?

I've never tried to count who created most MM and JSW games. From a cursory glance at the complete list of released games on JSW Central, I would say that if we considered both MM and JSW games (using all possible engines), Andrew Broad would probably be the one to have most entries on the list, with the DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!! taking the second place. However, if only JSW games were counted (not the MM ones), the DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!! would probably come first.

However, this is just a rough estimate. I am not willing to devote my very limited spare time with LOTS of JSW-related things I am currently doing AND wanting to do to answer this question based on detailed calculations. Anyone interested can do the counting themselves and let us know the results 🙂 .

Hello Daniel and everyone,

The topic of the number of JSW games created by an author makes me uncomfortable.
I have no desire or even the idea of dethroning the authors.
First of all because I have immense respect for these giant authors, it would be terrible to want to compare ourselves to them and I do not feel at all concerned by an idea of competition.
Respect also for the authors who have only created one because it is already huge.
And respect also for all those who like you Daniel contribute to keeping this kind of old games alive via complete sites, videos and programming advice.
My motivation is just to contribute, to participate in my own way to this.
I also take great pleasure in creating games.
I imagine situations and themes that can allow us to leave our real world for a moment. That's all.
Motivation also to give everyone the desire to create new games too. I remind you that all the characters and objects of my games are free, you can use them for your creations.

Here is a progress report on the creation of my new game.
-> I finished and tested 52 pieces (81%)

See you soon
Hervé

Hello, Hervé and Everyone,

I absolutely agree it is not a competition about how many games one has created! And it would be useless, anyway, because one day a well-trained ChatGPT or other large language model (LLM) will be able to produce thousands of MM/JSW games in a split second. So there...

I also agree with this view and personally have deep respect for every single author of a released MM/JSW game, even if they only created one. And respect for everyone else who keeps the scene alive, including the players, because without them creating games would be like graphomania 😉 .

It's great that "The Temple" is progressing so nicely, Hervé! I really, really look forward to playing it once it comes to the beta stage (if you let me playtest it) or after the release 🙂 .

hello Daniel and everyone

Here is a progress report on the creation of my new game.
-> I have finished and tested 58 rooms (90%)
The last 6 rooms are being finished.
I will then finish choosing the names of the rooms.
I have planned a translation into French, English and Spanish.
I also have to finish the title screen to present it to you!
And then play to check everything and also to correct colors or passages that will not suit me in the end.
Then... Daniel will be the official tester as for all my previous games. I trust you, your vigilance is important to deliver a flawless game.

Have a good week everyone
See you soon

Hervé
