  1. I recently stumbled across Langford Productions' account thanks to his Jetpac remake. He is incredibly talented, and I think his version is my favorite. Thanks for sharing the links; I've always wanted to play MM on PC (my emulator doesn't work).
  2. I saw it, it's BEAUTIFUL. But I agree with you that a pseudo-3D or 2.5D Manic Miner would look better.
  3. I used Construct 3 for the game. It's good for making short video games and prototyping quickly because it doesn't require much programming.
  4. The point is that you move automatically, that it pushes you. Not that you can't change direction. At least that's how it is in the current games. Oh, and once you change direction, when you walk in the direction that pushes you, you can go faster.
  5. This is awesome, well done!
  6. I think he's referring to Manic Miner for the Commodore Amiga, or the Game Boy Advance version.
  7. I'd remove the conveyor belt mechanisms because they're not quite right. Or I'd improve them further. Because once you step on them, you can't change direction, and that's kind of weird.
  8. Sounds amazing! I'd love to play a remaster like that. I know there's Jet Set Willy for PC, but I've never heard of a Manic Miner remaster. When you're finished, be sure to share it.
  9. I remember playing that version a while ago in a video game museum; it had amazing animations, more detailed than the original, and the map was bigger.
  10. What would you like to see in a remastered version of Manic Miner? For example, I'd like much more responsive controls (somewhat controversial because some prefer those Donkey Kong-style controls), like the ability to change direction while jumping, and a wider variety of classical music. I say this because I'm going to make a fangame of the original Manic Miner , and I'd like to remove the things that make MM less enjoyable. Conceptual image:
  11. Probably VVVVVV for me. It has graphics just like JSW, the controls are almost identical, it's difficult and very fun.
