UncleWan Posted February 11 Report Share Posted February 11 Recently, I played a game called Monty's Last Strike.（Off-topic, but I don't know why, mods for the Monty Mole games are very rare😶） When I walked into a cave, I found the letters NCB boldly written on the wall.At that moment, I thought about how on the cover of Manic Miner published by Software Projects, Willy's boot also had 'NCB' on it.（also in JSW） So I was wondering if NCB has anything to do with “mining”. With this question in mind, I searched for it but didn't find anything. Software projects received a threatening letter from the National Coal Board, about usage of the NCB logo without permission. Remember this was at the same time as Mr Arthur Scargill, was having a good laugh with the NCB. Whilst the games MM and JSW do not have reference to The NCB (directly), the artist( Roger Tissyman) responsible for the cover design of the software projects release of these two games inserted the NCB graphic into his artwork.
