IRF
I think Danny gets most of the credit, I've only playtested one room! Spider, jetsetdanny and andrewbroad
IRF
“The Headmistress’ Office” (091) I believe it isn’t possible to collect the right item without sacrificing a life (unless I didn’t try hard enough?). Should this be the case, I would suggest correcting it. EDIT: Now watching my RZX walkthrough, I think there may be a way of collecting it without losing a life, but I’m not 100% sure. You will know. With regards to the above, I have tried all the methods I could think of to collect this item without (ultimately) losing a life, and failed - see the attached recording. Even with my suggestion of standing on the conveyor pressing the 'upstream' key after collecting the item, you don't last long because the horizontal 'picture frame' guardian will get you soon enough! (And if that doesn't, then an arrow will!) (N.B. To create the recording, I changed the game's starting position to directly underneath the item in question, so that if I collected the item but died in the process, I could press SHIFT+SPACE and try again without having to repeat the very tricky manoeuvres required to reach that position in the first place!) Danny, did you think of a way that I haven't tried in the recording? Headmistress Office Item.rzx Spider and jetsetdanny
Korzy_iz_Adb
Wow. That's devotion to a goal. Amazing and quite respectable... Edited April 1, 2020 by Korzy_iz_Adb jetsetdanny, IRF and Spider
jetsetdanny
Danny, did you think of a way that I haven't tried in the recording? No, I've tried it as well (using your file), but I don't think it's possible. These Fire cells are too close to each other to make a safe jump. But my question was about the other guardians, the ones that look like 'embedded' Willies... Did we ever get the answer to this puzzle? Was it just the fact that 'embedded Willies' was what you were drawing our attention to? Or was there some other significance/meaning to them? Incidentally, I noticed that a lot of the posts in this thread have fallen foul of the 'missing text' problem that the site has experienced since being moved over to the new format. jetsetdanny
jetsetdanny
I hope Fabian will resume work on "Jet Set Jason..." and bring this fantastic project to completion at some point in the near future 🙂 . He revealed the answer to this puzzle to me in a private e-mail, I think. I'm not sure if I'm authorised to reveal it here... Hopefully, Fabian is still following these pages and will let us know 🙂 . Spider
Not exactly 100% the same I know (not used JSON, normally XML or on rare occasions JS) although these things were a pain when they happened , the infamous javascript "alerts" popups. I've provided a suitable message given the forums theme:
