Having look at Andy's guesses, I would say he's right on No. 1, and No. 4 and 5 should be swapped (as he noted they might have to be). No idea about No. 2 and No. 3.

It's fun - thanks for posting the files, SymbolShift, and for providing the images, crem! 🙂 These rooms seem visibly more difficult for me to guess than the ones from JSW and MM. Here are my guesses without looking at Andy's guesses (I'll have a look at them after posting this): I only feel strongly (that it's correct) regarding No. 5. I don't know how AI works exactly, but it seems to I think No. 4 may be correct (and even if it's incorrect, there's every reason for it to be correct), and the other three are just wild guesses, with No. 3 coming to me immediately as an association with the name as soon as I saw the picture (so it's an immediate, intuitive answer, there was no reasoning here whatsoever).

This photo was taken yesterday at Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD): It immediately made me think of "Jet Set Willy" and "The Nightmare Room," and wonder: why are Americans so anti-JSW??? 😮

I'll second that - thank you, Crem, it's been fun! 🙂

Yes, I've been aware of it, ever since it was mentioned on the old Yahoo! Group many years ago. I've never used it, though, because the pictures produced in this way would not live up to my standards for JSW Central. The screenshots there are all taken while playing the actual game (using an emulator, of course). I believe what JSWED does is take a picture of the room as it sees it. This may not be what the game actually looks like - the Cell-Graphics Bug's effects would not be shown and some font characters could look differently if they have been modified in a JSW128 or JSW64 game, to quote two examples that come to my mind (at least I think they're correct, I haven't tried to verify it). This is not criticism, just a statement of fact. It's good that JSWED has this feature 👍.

Which "feature" exactly?

Ligan, the PNG screenshots appear in the same folder where JSWED saves the edited game files. If you use Windows, it should be at: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\JSWED2, where "Username" is the username you have in Windows. If you can't find it there, just do a search for a file called 046.png (or any other room from 000.png to 063.png) on your entire HDD. Once you find it, open the file location and you will be in the folder where JSWED saves everything 🙂 .

I think there are various such safe drops through more than one room in various games, but, off the top of my head, I wouldn't dare say which one is the longest one of them all. In Sendy's and mine "JSW: Mind Control" there are two such drops. One, which I'm particularly proud of (for various reasons), is when you jump into a void between the clouds on the left in "A Rope in the Sky? Impossible!!!" (004), find yourself in free fall in "A Glimpse of 'JSWL 2005' Megamix' (060) and land safely on a tiny rope at the top of "The Most Secret of All Places". This drop is also a secret route, as it would be hard to expect from a reasonable (and uninquisitive) player to jump off the rope in "A Rope in the Sky? Impossible!!!". The other one starts in "Promoter of Foolishness" (019), my remake of "advocate of stupidity" (019) from Sendy's game "where's woody?". Willy falls down through "Foolish, wasn't it?" (014), "But Willy'll be lucky, will he?" (012) and ends up safely on the rope in "Yes! Willy's a lucky bastard!!!" (098). There may be some safe long drops also in the games that use the fall-without-dying POKE as a constant feature. I can't think of any specific ones right now, but I'm sure you could find some in these games.

I tried to play the RZX in Spectaculator, but it wouldn't work 😞.

Great minds... 😄

In Alex Cornhill (Sendy)'s game "where's woody?" if you jump down in the room "advocate of stupidity" (019), you fall down to your (repeated) death through 14 rooms (including the starting one). This is what it looks like: https://jswcentral.org/wos/woody_fall.mp4 Please note I used a modified game file for this, to start in "advocate of stupidity". In an unmodified game, the fall would look exactly the same, only the time on the clock (and possibly the item count) would be different. I can't think of any other game where there would be a longer (or equally long) fall.

I believe this one is easy. It must be

These are more difficult, indeed. My intuitive guesses are: EDIT: I can now see that SymbolShift's reply is 4/7 the same as mine, namely, our guesses regarding B, D, E and G are the same 🙂 .

My guesses: Some of them seem easy, others are just wild guesses, without much conviction. It's quite fascinating how we can identify (many of) these titles after what the neural networks did! 😮

Without looking at other replies: EDIT: After looking at the other replies, I can say my guess is the same as SymbolShift's 🙂 .

It's a hard one. The only thing that comes to my mind is... EDIT: I can now see Ligan thinks the same. We must be right 🙂 .

Well done! 🙂

This must be I believe.

It's fun! 👍 Keep 'em comin', please! 🙂

I've watched it all (at double speed) and gave it a like 🙂 . I liked it a lot, indeed, it looks great. The additional rooms fit in well. Once your project is complete, I might ask for permission to create a Spectrum version of your version to add to the existing variants of the original "JSW". I understand there is no toilet run at the moment. Are you planning on adding it? All in all, a great job! 👍

Congratulations on your current best Speccy speedrun time, CPL! 👍
