  1. Having looked at JianYang and Ligan's spoilers now, I can see that we all agree as to No. 1, 3 and 5. Furthermore, Ligan and myself have the same idea for No. 4. The remaining guesses are different. Looking forward to the answers (or more guesses by others first) 🙂 .
  2. My guesses, without looking at JianYang and Ligan's spoilers: I feel strongly about No. 1, 3 and 5. I believe they are: I would be surprised if No. 1 and 3 were something else, I am moderately sure about No. 5. I don't have any clear answers to No. 2 and 4. I think they may be:
  3. Congratulations on deciphring the fourth bath, Ligan! 👍 As for the fifth batch, I believe it is obvious that No. 2 is I think No. 1 must be one of the following: As for No. 3, 4 and 5 I would offer the following guesses, but with little hope that they may be right:
  4. I think Ligan may be right on No. 1 and No. 4, and possibly also on No. 3. I don't know about the other ones. These are really difficult for me!
  5. Intriguingly, these seem very difficult to me. "Very difficult" in the sense that I don't have any immediate association with any room names when I look at the pictures (which are very nice otherwise), and I continue without anything coming to my mind after some reflection 😲. The only thing that crossed my mind is that No. 4 might be but I don't think it's correct. I'll have a look at Ligan's answers now.
  6. Welcome to the forum, Trolmite! 🙂 I am not aware of the existence of such a version. I don't see any pertinent file here and I think this must be one of the most complete collections of ROMs for the ZX81. However, I may be missing something and perhaps someone else will know better and let us know 😉 .
  7. Thank you for this piece of memorabilia, Norman Sword, it's much appreciated! 👍
  8. I won't. I'll still be across the pond, all things going as planned. However, my return to Europe *will* happen either next year or the following one, so I might make it to the 2024 one perhaps. Please keep asking! 🙂
  9. These seem eerily easy. My guesses: I am not sure about No. 5, I think the remaining ones should be correct 😎.
  10. In my world, I was sure they were denying the existence of flying pigs, which - as every JSW fan knows - do exist! In the real world, this is what they were referring to 😉 .
  11. Having had a look at Ligan's answers now, I can see we agree on No. 1, 4 and 5 (great minds... 😉 ). We differ on No. 2 and 3, and I think that his answer to No. 2 may well be correct.
  12. So between Andy and myself we got the first batch 100% right 🙂 . I'm not sure it will be the case with the second batch, although I can see Ligan is also in (I will have a look at his guesses after posting this). My guesses for the second batch are: I think my guess of No. 1 must be correct, and of No. 4 should be correct. I am moderately optimistic about my guess of No. 5. I am pretty sure my guesses of No. 2 and 3 are incorrect, but nothing else comes to my mind. Having said that, actually my initial guess of No. 3 was because I can definitely see there, but I can see no so, on second thoughts, I am not proposing this as my "official" guess (I am just mentioning it as a side note, in case it should turn out to be the correct answer due to some strange twist of the AI 😉 ).
  13. Having look at Andy's guesses, I would say he's right on No. 1, and No. 4 and 5 should be swapped (as he noted they might have to be). No idea about No. 2 and No. 3.
  14. It's fun - thanks for posting the files, SymbolShift, and for providing the images, crem! 🙂 These rooms seem visibly more difficult for me to guess than the ones from JSW and MM. Here are my guesses without looking at Andy's guesses (I'll have a look at them after posting this): I only feel strongly (that it's correct) regarding No. 5. I don't know how AI works exactly, but it seems to I think No. 4 may be correct (and even if it's incorrect, there's every reason for it to be correct), and the other three are just wild guesses, with No. 3 coming to me immediately as an association with the name as soon as I saw the picture (so it's an immediate, intuitive answer, there was no reasoning here whatsoever).
  15. This photo was taken yesterday at Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD): It immediately made me think of "Jet Set Willy" and "The Nightmare Room," and wonder: why are Americans so anti-JSW??? 😮
  16. I'll second that - thank you, Crem, it's been fun! 🙂
  17. Yes, I've been aware of it, ever since it was mentioned on the old Yahoo! Group many years ago. I've never used it, though, because the pictures produced in this way would not live up to my standards for JSW Central. The screenshots there are all taken while playing the actual game (using an emulator, of course). I believe what JSWED does is take a picture of the room as it sees it. This may not be what the game actually looks like - the Cell-Graphics Bug's effects would not be shown and some font characters could look differently if they have been modified in a JSW128 or JSW64 game, to quote two examples that come to my mind (at least I think they're correct, I haven't tried to verify it). This is not criticism, just a statement of fact. It's good that JSWED has this feature 👍.
  18. Ligan, the PNG screenshots appear in the same folder where JSWED saves the edited game files. If you use Windows, it should be at: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\JSWED2, where "Username" is the username you have in Windows. If you can't find it there, just do a search for a file called 046.png (or any other room from 000.png to 063.png) on your entire HDD. Once you find it, open the file location and you will be in the folder where JSWED saves everything 🙂 .

    The big fall

I think there are various such safe drops through more than one room in various games, but, off the top of my head, I wouldn't dare say which one is the longest one of them all. In Sendy's and mine "JSW: Mind Control" there are two such drops. One, which I'm particularly proud of (for various reasons), is when you jump into a void between the clouds on the left in "A Rope in the Sky? Impossible!!!" (004), find yourself in free fall in "A Glimpse of 'JSWL 2005' Megamix' (060) and land safely on a tiny rope at the top of "The Most Secret of All Places". This drop is also a secret route, as it would be hard to expect from a reasonable (and uninquisitive) player to jump off the rope in "A Rope in the Sky? Impossible!!!". The other one starts in "Promoter of Foolishness" (019), my remake of "advocate of stupidity" (019) from Sendy's game "where's woody?". Willy falls down through "Foolish, wasn't it?" (014), "But Willy'll be lucky, will he?" (012) and ends up safely on the rope in "Yes! Willy's a lucky bastard!!!" (098). There may be some safe long drops also in the games that use the fall-without-dying POKE as a constant feature. I can't think of any specific ones right now, but I'm sure you could find some in these games.
  20. I tried to play the RZX in Spectaculator, but it wouldn't work 😞.

    The big fall

In Alex Cornhill (Sendy)'s game "where's woody?" if you jump down in the room "advocate of stupidity" (019), you fall down to your (repeated) death through 14 rooms (including the starting one). This is what it looks like: https://jswcentral.org/wos/woody_fall.mp4 Please note I used a modified game file for this, to start in "advocate of stupidity". In an unmodified game, the fall would look exactly the same, only the time on the clock (and possibly the item count) would be different. I can't think of any other game where there would be a longer (or equally long) fall.
