  1. Here's a progress report on the creation of my game "Welcome to Willy's Fun Park" (project number 6). I've created and tested 26 rooms (41%) The Final sequence is created The title screen is 50% complete. The image of this title screen will be broadcast as soon as it is finished. I've started creating the roller coaster. I've five more massive rides to complete. They each have several rooms (between four and six). Sixteen others are complete (containing one to two rooms). It will take me a long time to finish this game. But I'm moving in the direction I want to create a totally different game with lots of new characters. I hope you like it See you soon! Hervé

I always try to write my message in English and then use a translator to check for spelling mistakes. However, in this case, I mistakenly posted the corrected version of my message... 🙃 Regarding the 64z version, I will no longer use it for my future projects. I must add, however, that the JSWED editor is perfect, despite these minor glitches, which are not critical.   4. Bonjour Jet Set Willie, Oh non, malgré son nom, le parc n'est pas encore ouvert ! Loin de là. Il faut que j'amène le Yéti ici ; ça va prendre du temps… Mais j'espère que le parc ouvrira cet été. 🙂 Je n'ai pas répondu immédiatement à votre question car je voulais rendre la réponse la plus complète possible afin qu'elle puisse aider tous les auteurs. Pour ce jeu, j'utilise la version 64z de l'éditeur JSWED. 2.3.1 Il permet de colorer le bloc de terre avec n'importe quelle couleur. Idéal pour un thème de parc d'attractions. J'ai détecté deux problèmes. Depuis, je m'adapte pour avancer, mais ça me prend plus de temps. 1er problème : les blocs de terre deviennent des blocs d'eau : Avec la version 64z ce bloc terre "1" peut être coloré avec toutes les possibilités. Une fenêtre permet de choisir les couleurs de ce bloc de terre Si je choisis une couleur qui n'est pas déjà utilisée pour un autre bloc d'eau, de feu ou autre, le bloc créé sera un bloc avec les pixels du bloc de terre "1", mais transformé en bloc d'eau. Je ne peux donc pas l'utiliser comme bloc de terre, car Willy pourra le traverser. Deuxième problème : changer la couleur des blocs Si je change la couleur d'un bloc de la pièce, ce bloc se transforme avec les pixels du bloc Terre « 1 ». C'est toujours le cas. Je vais prendre l'exemple d'une pièce finie « miroirs déformants » Le bloc de terre "B" est bleu clair et bleu foncé je vais le changer avec une couleur inutilisée avec un autre bloc : rose et jaune Voici le résultat pour ma pièce : les pixels du bloc terre "1" apparaissent. Je dois remplacer le bloc de terre jaune et rose « b » pour que cela soit pris en compte dans ma pièce Ce n'est pas un problème pour la création de jeux, mais cela me prend du temps à chaque fois que je dois changer la couleur d'un bloc. Cette opération doit être effectuée. J'espère que cela a été utile. Bonne journée à tous. Hervé
  5. Hello Daniel and All, The plan for this game, which I developed 18 years ago, no longer suited me. I reduced the height of the temple to enlarge the floors. I completely recreated the plan, then the game file. However, I had imagined many traps that I kept. This saved me precious time, and I didn't encounter any technical problems during creation.   6. Hello the authors and the whole JSW community, Here's a progress report on the creation of my game "Welcome to Willy's Fun Park" (project number 6). I've created and tested 11 rooms (17%). The Final sequence is created. This game is complicated to create. I had quite a few problems with the 64z version of JSWED editor. Earth blocks turn into water blocks when I change their color. I have taken this problem into account and now I create the rooms taking this problem into account. Creating the rooms takes me a lot of time because I want to create new traps with a very developed decor in the theme of the Amusement Park. I'm starting to see the game appear and I'm rather reassured about what it's going to be like. Progress report on the creation of my two other projects: Project 7: Willy Saves Maria 64 [ - 64 rooms. I Changed the version to 64W - 128 rooms. The paper plan is finished. The file is created and the rooms are in order. Project 8: JSW in London 64W - 128 rooms The paper plan is finished. It's always a nerve-wracking moment to deliver your creation and wait for feedback from those who will play it. And after so many years, I didn't know where I was going when I started three months ago... So I'm very relieved to know that this game can be a happy experience for all players. You have all the green lights to add your musical programming. Your proposal is a huge honor for me. Take the time you need by prioritizing all your commitments to the authors and time to manage your JSW Central site. I modified the title screen with the "T" in capital letters for the word "Temple". Thank you for that. For the name of the game I confirm that I also prefer the number 2 in Roman numerals (II). Ok also to modify the name of the first part with the letter 'Part I". It's much better. I modified "Part II" in the scrolling message. This week, I played several parts of the game until the end. I don't see anything more to modify or correct. So I sent you by email the game with the English translation !!! I'm sure you'll find things to correct. I would like you to be able to discover it by playing it first before moving on to the test state, it would be cooler to discover the rooms in the mysterious atmosphere ! I'm working now on the next three projects at the same time : 6 - Welcome to Willy's fun Park! 64Z - 64 rooms 7 - "Willy Saves Maria 64[ - 64 rooms 8 - It's up to you to discover it by playing my next game! 64W - 128 rooms They are totally different (amusement park, medical exploration and the third that I am not announcing for the moment!) I find it nice to be able to create one or the other according to my desire of the day. For these projects the guards will be new, that's what motivates me a lot. I start by finishing the three plans on paper. This is perhaps the most complicated step. Then I will arrange the layout of the rooms in the three files created. I think the first game released will be project 6 "Welcome to Willy's fun Park" because I have already created rooms in the file. I have a clear vision of what I want to do.   11. Hello Daniel and everyone Here is a progress report on the creation of my new game. -> I have finished and tested all the rooms (100%) I was able to create all the traps I had imagined. This game contains quite a few surprises. In any case, situations and traps that I have not created in my previous games I started playing it to check for possible errors. some passages are modified, I also add decoration to create harmony between the rooms. I have almost finished the title screen. It takes me a lot of time. I still have a large fresco to finish for a room. I drew it on paper, now it must be coded in pixels in the editor. I will then finish choosing the names of the rooms. I have planned a translation into French, English and Spanish. I also have to finish the title screen to present it to you! And then play to check everything and also to correct colors or passages that will not suit me in the end. Then... Daniel will be the official tester as for all my previous games.   13. Hello Daniel and everyone, The topic of the number of JSW games created by an author makes me uncomfortable. I have no desire or even the idea of dethroning the authors. First of all because I have immense respect for these giant authors, it would be terrible to want to compare ourselves to them and I do not feel at all concerned by an idea of competition. Respect also for the authors who have only created one because it is already huge. And respect also for all those who like you Daniel contribute to keeping this kind of old games alive via complete sites, videos and programming advice. My motivation is just to contribute, to participate in my own way to this. I also take great pleasure in creating games. I imagine situations and themes that can allow us to leave our real world for a moment. That's all. Motivation also to give everyone the desire to create new games too. Update on other projects: I discovered that my project "Welcome to Willy's Fun Park!" was quite advanced, so I'm already working on the creation of the rooms. it will probably be released before the end of the year 2025. I abandoned the following projects: ""Willy in Cathar Country" and "Jet Set Willy: The Labyrinth" I added 4 news projects. I will keep one "8 - unnamed" because as a clue it is named twice in the rooms of my current project! Hello Jet Set Willie, to answer your question, I didn't find any problem adding or removing monsters. the only problems i encountered was when i transformed a game from a Z version to ] for example. or from 128k to 48k. the editor does not manage memory in the same way and this generates errors.
