  1. Still awaiting 'news' of my copy of this. My local agent is a bit slow it seems. :) Oh well.
  2. 22 downloads

JetSet Willy 1 .dsk disk image for the Tatung Einstein range of machines. This includes the 'keypad' protection similar to the Spectrum version of JSW as well as the Acorn/BBC version of Manic Miner The scrolling message reads as follows:
  3. 13 downloads

JSW for the Commodore C16 machine. The tape file is a conventional .tap format.
  4. 28 downloads

JetSet Willy for the Sinclair Z88. Authored by Dominic Morris.
  5. As its been around eight months since the original 'Bug Fixed' version was released, I thought it only fair to quickly assemble a 'cheat' version. This has the following built in: Infinite time Infinite lives Immunity to falls Immunity to arrows Immunity to guardians Immunity to fire cells Walk through earth cells (use with care!) The game code is identical to the previous release with the exception of the cheats obviously. :) A different "intermission" loading picture and a note on the main loading screen announce the fact it is a cheat edition. Jetset Willy 2015 Bug Fixed Edition With Cheats_V1.tzx Note: Load in 48K mode.
  6. 22 downloads

Disk image of Manic Miner for the Tatung Einstein This includes the 'keypad' similar to the Acorn/BBC version of Manic Miner. The scrolling message reads:
  7. 32 downloads

Disk image (.dsk) of Manic Miner for the C64/C128 The .zip also includes a .prg (tape file?) image too.
  8. Agreed. :) I looked online but could not see an easy way of purchasing it so I'll ask the local newsagent I think about that.
  9. I'll try it, I thought I had one installed but it appears not any more. :)
  10. Looks interesting, although the QL graphics are a bit odd (to be expected) :) No download link though but I guess its floating around somewhere.
  11. Do you have any screenshots of that please ? :)
  12. Thank you. :) :) :) Announced on the WOS site too here
  13. Welcome. :) The MM game is based on the Spectrum version, it appears not far off (the graphics are the same as are the layouts it seems) the movement of Miner Willy is different however (too many leg steps) and the jump routine is not quite the same, the jump routine is similar to the C64 version of JSW actually from what I can tell, it has a 'floating' feeling. :D The JSW game appears to be something new rather than based on the original. :) It shares the 'floating' jump effect too.
  14. View File Manic Miner Updated We are pleased to release a mildly updated Spectrum version of Manic Miner. 1. The new loading screen I put together here has been used. 2. The code was again assembled using a 'real' speedlock loader for both its intended use (on a real machine) and for tape loading fanatics too. This is not intended as any form of 'protection' it is simply to cut down loading time from approx 3m15s to 2m30s. :) Only the game code is loaded rather than an emulator 'built' one as that would load all the memory which is not needed. 3. The game code was based on the Software Projects release rather than the more common Bug-Byte one, the reason for this was simply as the Software Projects release was later so it made more sense to base it on the 'last' code as such. 4. The 'typewriter' cheat was removed. The Software Projects version was "typewriter" instead of "6031769" 5. To make the game a bit more initially friendly, Willy starts with seven lives instead of three however: 6. There is no bonus life awarded every 10,000 points any more. 7. Minor detail: The scrolling message was slowed down a fraction so its more readable. 8. Minor detail: The scrolling message was altered very slightly to correct a few concerns: In essence the changes are to capitalisation, spacing and the 'forgotten' pause keys. Enjoy. :) Note: Load in 48K mode Submitter Spider Submitted 02/01/2015 Category JSWMM Releases
  15. Upon requests, I'm pleased so supply a 'high speed' loader of the aformentioned Bug-Fixed release. Please note this has *no* changes compared to the previous releases with the exception of a tiny additional logo on the loading screen and a faster loader using a genuine Speedlock as per the 'Sold A Million' re-release of this game. The advantage of this is compared to an 'emulator built' one is the fact that only the game code is loaded not the whole memory = faster loading. Note: Load in 48K mode. Jetset Willy_BugFixed2015Edition_V1.tzx This release is not meant as any form of 'protection' it is simply provided for transfer to 'real' hardware of loading scheme fanatics. Enjoy. :) The update is simply to the loading scheme and the minor re-design of the jswmm logo.

    Seasons Greetings

    Seems appropriate too: snowman.tap
  17. That's great, would be interesting to be able to try it out. :D
  18. 95% certain its a 'bootleg' ie an 'unofficial copy' :) The inlay is a give-away for this in most cases, although it could (that 5%) be a very small company / individual doing it.
  19. I think I might of seen it advertised but I'd never seen it 'for real' :) Thank you for the detailed screenshots.
  20. I'd not seen / heard of it until now. Is it a 'bootleg' ie: an 'unofficial' conversion ? Are you not able to test it ? :)
  21. Yes I'm almost sure I've seen MSX combined with 'something' else. Not sure what though unless it was BBC Micro perhaps
  22. Thank you for your kind comments. :) Regarding 'combi' ones, do you happen to know what variations were produced ? I've seen Spectrum/Amstrad as 'one' tape (I have JSW2 like this) but I think there was an MSX combi as well maybe MSX/C64 ?
