jetsetdanny got a reaction from UncleWan for a file, Jet Set Willy: Australian Cousin
Jet Set Willy: Australian Cousin is a JSW modification created by Ken Knight (itsmethyroid) for the Australian leg of the "Roaming Speccy" world tour project. This charity initiative, which originated in the UK, involves a globe-trotting ZX Spectrum making its way from creator to creator, with each participant adding their own touch and sharing a story. This 8-bit odyssey unfolds through field interviews, bench repairs, festivals, living rooms and garages in various parts of the world. A collection of related videos is available at The Roaming Speccy playlist. At the end of its journey, once it completes its global quest and returns to the UK, the Roaming Speccy together with all the additions it will have acquired during its voyage will be auctioned off in aid of the Befriending Scheme UK.
Jet Set Willy: Australian Cousin was originally designed as an exclusive title for the Roaming Speccy. As far as is currently known, it is the only software contribution created specifically for this project. The eventual owner of the machine will receive what Ken describes as "the only legitimate copy" of the game transferred to tape by Chris from the YouTube channels 005 AGIMA and This Week in Retro.
Ken's contribution to the project was inspired by the real-life small town of Wongan Hills, located around three hours north-east of Perth and home to approximately 700 residents. During a visit there, he discovered an abandoned arcade called "Orbit Zone", filled with arcade cabinets left standing unused and apparently forgotten. Fascinated by the mysterious sight, Ken used the location as the basis for the game's storyline.
GAME PREMISE: One day Miner Willy's Australian cousin, "the Shane", hears of an abandoned arcade in the small town of Wongan Hills, Western Australia. He explores the arcade, called "Orbit Zone", in search of the lost machines hidden throughout the complex. He needs to collect 148 items while wandering through an Australian-themed setting inspired by the local surroundings and atmosphere of Wongan Hills. Since the game takes place "Down Under", during his quest the Shane has to operate with gravity reversed, walking on the ceiling.
Jet Set Willy: Australian Cousin was created, using JSWED, in 2025. It was first shown publicly in November 2025 in the YouTube video EP-279: The Roaming Spectrum in Perth, which included a preview of the gameplay. Following encouragement from members of the community, Ken decided to make the game available to the general public. It was released on JSW Central and the Jet Set Willy & Manic Miner Community in May 2026.
Ken has also shared a photo of "the Shane playing the Shane":

jetsetdanny reacted to UncleWan for a file, Willy’s Spring Festival
Hello,everyone!
To celebrate the Chinese New Year 2026, I made this mini-game.Here is my JSWED 48K game,an easy mini-game with six rooms which can be completed without losing a life.
Story:Willy had prepared a generous gift early, intending to honor his parents during the Spring Festival. Passing by the Temple of Wealth God ,he went in to offer incense and pray for abundant wealth in the new year.
Unexpectedly, a gust of wind suddenly blew, scattering all the gifts he was holding in different directions. Willy needs to go along the way to search and pick them up, retrieving each gift to give to his parents.
The game offers two languages: English and Chinese Pinyin.The only differences between the two language versions are the text and some sprites.TAP format only.

jetsetdanny reacted to Hervé AST for a file, Willy in the Islands of Mystery : Part II : The Temple
Hello everyone
I am thrilled to announce the release of my sixth game, "Willy in the Islands of Mystery: Part II: The Temple."
It uses the JSW64 engine with the variant [].
This game is a direct sequel to the first game, "Willy in the Islands of Mystery: Part I; Exploration," created in 2007.
I encourage you to start by playing Part I.
It is available for download via this link:
https://xa.bi/jsw/islands1.htm
Part I, "Exploration":
The story: For some unknown reason—perhaps after the sinking of his cruise ship—Willy is alone on a raft in the middle of the ocean. One morning, he discovers a mysterious island on the horizon. He will have to explore it and find a way back home...
Part II, "The Temple,"
Begins in the exact same room where Willy finished the game in Part I.
The story: After exploring the islands, Willy discovers an ancient temple. To leave the Isles of Mystery, he must face its dangers and collect all the flashing objects scattered inside. Perhaps the Temple holds the key to his freedom.
Part II, "The Temple," has many surprises in store for you.
Technically, it's the first JSW game with different music for each room.
The theme is therefore different depending on the room.
This game also has many effects that greatly enhance the game's atmosphere.
I won't say any more; you'll have to discover it all for yourself...
And I've saved the best for last: I didn't create this game alone. Daniel (JetSetDanny) worked incredibly hard on all these improvements: music programming, visual effects, adding traps, scrolling messages, loading screen, end screen, game translation, title colors, complete testing, promoting the game on social media and websites dedicated to classic games… I think I'm forgetting some things, and I apologize to him.
It was a colossal and time-consuming undertaking. I want to thank him for his dedication and availability.
This is why this game is co-signed (Hervé and Daniel), as you can see on the home screen.
The game is available in two languages: English and French, In TAP and TZX formats
Have fun!
Hervé

jetsetdanny got a reaction from MtM for a file, Welcome to Willy's Fun Park!
I am very pleased to upload, on Hervé Ast’s behalf, the release files of “Welcome to Willy’s Fun Park!” 😊This is Hervé’s fifth released JSW game and his third using the JSW64 game engine—variant Z, in this case. The launch of “Welcome to Willy’s Fun Park!” marks Hervé’s triumphant return to the JSW scene after an 18-year absence.
The game is released in four language versions: English, French, Polish, and Spanish.
Set in an amusement park that Willy apparently owns, the game sees him facing a familiar challenge: he must clean the entire place—otherwise, Maria won’t let him enter the parking lot where his vehicle is waiting. The game features 64 brand-new rooms inspired by classic funfair attractions: an impressive rollercoaster, a Ferris Wheel, a haunted house, a hall of mirrors, a maze, and bumper cars, among others. You’ll also find a pirate ship, a casino, archery, hook-a-duck, and stalls offering food and souvenirs. Some well-known characters from Hervé’s earlier games—like the Yeti and the extraterrestrials—make appearances, too.
I’ve had the privilege of playtesting the game and contributing a few small elements. It’s beautifully atmospheric and not especially difficult if you play using snapshots or Rollback. The game makes excellent use of the JSW64 engine’s features, such as switches, and offers many interesting challenges, including some where you really need to think rather than just collect items.
So go ahead—download it and enjoy this fantastic adventure in the language of your choice. It’s a wonderful treat from Hervé - it’s so good to have him back on the scene! 😊

jetsetdanny reacted to The-Red-Bayron for a file, Manic Miner: Deeper and Down
He's Back... In an all new old adventure!
This follows on from the Lost Levels and Lost Levels DS in that it is a conversion from another system in this case it is the Sam Coupé version.
After the first 20 levels that follow the original Manic Miner, there were another 20 called The Deeper Caverns then another 20 called Down, Down, Deeper and Down.
This gives the game its title Manic Miner: Deeper and Down as Manic Miner: The Deeper Caverns and Down, Down, Deeper and Down was a bit of a mouthful.
As before it tries to do this as close as the original game mechanic allows but this time using the JSW64 128K game engine as some features like trampolines and switches were impossible to replicate in the original game engine.
There is a demo version of The Deeper Caverns for the 48K which is included in the .zip file as initially it started here. The gameplay order, screens and sprites are slightly different but all levels are playable.
The Deeper Caverns
The Gameplay follows the order of these next 20 levels, level 20 The Final Frontier is used as a link into Down, Down, Deeper and Down so the top of this screen is slightly different to the original Sam Coupé version.
Here are the level screens in gameplay order.
01 The Hollow Chamber
02 The Office
03 Cheese-Plant
04 The Dodgy Mine Shaft
05 The Big Drop
06 Order Processing Department
07 The Rocky Outcrop
08 The Twilight Zone, Part I
09 Son of Kong Beast
10 Trainspotters' Paradise
11 Battle of the Bits
12 A Night on the Tiles
13 The Twilight Zone II
14 Dante's Inferno
15 The Freezer
16 Blue Stick-Waggling Bananas
17 Round The Bend
18 Teddy Bears' Picnic
19 The Clock Tower
20 The Final Frontier
Notes:
Some of the levels with Trampolines have been modified to prevent falling too far.
Kong falling from the platform has been changed for something else. Pull the switch and find out.
Levels with a lot of sprites, switches or items will be slower.
Down, Down, Deeper and Down
This follows on directly from The Deeper Caverns with an additional 20 levels.
There is an ending level (Up Up and Away) but it is not playable, like JSW the game just stops here (until the air runs out and then it loops).
Here are the level screens in gameplay order.
01 In Xanadu, did Kubla Khan ?
02 Bleugh
03 Wibble Flowerpot
04 Wibbly Wobbly
05 Caveman Willy
06 No Way Back ?
07 Bouncy-Bouncy
08 Son of Bride of Kong’s Revenge 2
09 The Haunted House
10 The Mouse Trap
11 The Bonus Round
12 Still No Way Back ?
13 The Pink People Eaters
14 April Showers
15 Bottom of the mine shaft
16 The Building Society
17 The Control Room
18 The Assembly Plant
19 The Computer Room
20 The end of Willy as we know it ?
21 Up Up and Away !
Notes:
The items in the The Bonus Round had to be reduced as it exceeded the limit for the overall game.
Because of this additional items have been added to other levels.
The Pokes for Infinite Lives, WRITETYPER and finishing the game without collecting all the items will work.

jetsetdanny got a reaction from Spider for a file, GhoST oF WiLLY
I am thrilled to announce the release of Carl Paterson's fourth Jet Set Willy game: "GhoST oF WiLLY" 🙂. The plot of the game revolves — obviously — around Jet Set Willy, the legendary adventurer, who must come out of retirement after a curse originally meant for his descendant, Jet Set Junior, falls upon him. Stripped of his physical body and trapped in spirit form, Willy must return to his old mansion — now transformed into a surreal reflection of his own subconscious — to collect sacred relics and break the curse at Queen Maria’s altar. As he navigates twisted echoes of his past, the fate of the entire Jet Set family line hangs in the balance. The player must collect all the sacred relics — the Spirit Itemz — needed to reunite Willy’s mind with his body and lift the curse once and for all. The above is just my summary — please read the original plot in the Readme!
The game features:
- 61 newly designed rooms, created in Carl's distinct style, with many challenging jumps where a move in the wrong direction or a jump from an inadequate position will cost you a life; - Mostly new and some modified guardian sprites; - A significant difficulty level - the use of some 'assistive tools' — such as saving/reloading snapshots, Rollback or the infinite lives POKE 35899,0 — is highly recommended;
- A custom-made title screen, custom font (called "Dead Forest", designed by Damien Guard) and other enhancements;
- A new title-screen tune and a superlong in-game tune, 1,536 bytes long, i.e. 24 times as long as the tune in the original JSW, actually composed of a series of shorter tunes, never before used in a JSW game for the Spectrum, all in ternary time signatures, which is a first for JSW48 games;
- Something extra at the completion of the game.
The ZIP file includes the game in TAP and TZX format (v. 2 - this is the first public release), the Readme and info about the game's credits.
Please download and embark on another epic journey through these enchanting new parts of Willy's weird universe that Carl has created. And play the game to completion, but remember (hint, hint!) to save three spare lives before reaching the final rooms... 🙂

jetsetdanny reacted to Spider for a file, JSW - 2024
2024 marked the 40th anniversary of Jet Set Willy. 🏆
Initially I had planned on something a lot more elaborate to celebrate this however for various reasons I decided a standard game with a few simple changes would fit nicely.
There is a time limit of two hours game playing time enforced. If Willy runs out of time (at 12:00AM), the game is over! This is indicated with the game freezing and the word 'time' flashing for a few seconds, leaving the player in no doubt what has happened.
There are 150 items to collect. Care was taken to place these mostly sensibly without detracting from the original game feeling. Also, some item shapes per room have changed, the main reason being at least one item shape looks like two bottles, so if and when Willy collects one of these it will count as two in his collection.
The main loop was modified (thanks N.S for your guidance) giving a reasonable speed boost during play.
Other changes and small fixes include:
The four original bug fixes were applied with the change of not having an invisible item in The Hall.
The rope top height was altered to prevent Willy leaving via the top of the room when he is not intended to.
Aborting the game displays the Game Over page before returning to the title screen.
The pause bug was remedied by preventing the game auto-pausing
By default on starting a new game, the in-game tune is switched off. Enabling it will be respected so that starting a new game will remember the players choice.
The status area was altered slightly, namely the room descriptor was moved down one row, room names were centred and the lives remaining were moved along one block.
The usual text flicker back to 000 objects / time on losing a life or entering a room was altered to prevent this being so visible.
Some internal changes to sprite location, mainly concatenating them hence no gaps between.
Title screen tune changed a little bit (in-game music used) and in-game music from re-release version (MM in game tune)
Upon reaching Master Bedroom and landing on the bed, the bug whereby Willy could get stuck has been rectified.
There is one additional room that is accessible but its not necessary to visit it. This was done as a way of avoiding a 'teleport' effect , the alternative as seen in the 2015 bug fixed version required some earth tiles adding which I wanted to avoid.
Lastly, it is quite possible within the time limit to complete the game. I have played a few times and averaged around 10 to 15 minutes game time remaining without really rushing around.
I hope my small celebratory 2024 JSW version is welcomed!

jetsetdanny reacted to lemmylemming for a file, Jet Set Lemmy
Silly little Jet Set Willy hack i made during the start of this year.
Mostly the JSW1 rooms with alterations (mostly to make it easier, because i kinda suck at JSW), and i also changed a lot of the sprites.
It's in Spanish, and i don't plan on making an English version since the room names are all basically translations from original JSW (with a few exceptions) and i'm gonna be too busy to make one (school, and other stuff)
I don't know if it's fully completable but i think every item should be obtainable.
I planned to add either Humoresque or the CPC track but i didn't like Maketune and i couldn't figure out any other way.

jetsetdanny got a reaction from Jet Set Willie for a file, Bugfixed, completable editions of "Frosya the Cat" and "Frosya the Cat - Lite Version"
"Frosya the Cat" ("Кошка Фрося" in Russian) was the first ZX Spectrum game created by Igor Makovsky. It utilises the JSW128 game engine. It was originally released in March 2002, with the Lite Version following in November 2002. The final revision of the game, called "Jet Cat Frosya", was released in September 2004.
While "Jet Cat Frosya" was completable without any loss of life, both "Frosya the Cat" and "Frosya the Cat - Lite Version" suffered from some critical bugs that made them impossible to complete.
I have prepared - with Igor's kind approval - bugfixed, fully completable editions of "Frosya the Cat" and "Frosya the Cat - Lite Version", so that anyone who wants to play these fine games can do so with the certainty that they will be able to complete them.
The attached ZIP file contains bugfixed versions that were prepared following the principle that only issues making the game incompletable or forcing the player to lose lives would be fixed. A couple of exceptions were made to this rule, and changes were introduced to avoid making the available in-game routes too complicated. Other issues, such as unfair Multiple-Death Scenarios (MDS), loopholes allowing the player to do things they should not be able to do, or the accuracy of some room names, were not addressed in order to preserve each game in its original shape as much as possible. The only aesthetic change is the addition of the word "FIXED" on the title screen to make the bugfixed revision easily identifiable.
The included Readme contains a detailed description of what was changed in each file.
The original game files and Readmes of "Frosya the Cat", "Frosya the Cat - Lite Version" and "Jet Cat Frosya" (which did not need any modifications, because it could be complete without any loss of life as released) are included in this ZIP package as separate ZIP files.
Having completed these games several times over (during playtesting and then making 'proper' RZX recordings of them), I can confirm that they are great fun to play, and Frosya the Cat (aka Jet Cat Frosya) is an extremely likable protagonist 🙂 . Do have a go at them and let Igor know if you done so! - his e-mail address is in the Readme.
Igor has also kindly provided sketches of the game map, rooms and sprites from his time working on "Frosya". This exclusive material can be downloaded from https://jswcentral.org/download/memorabilia/frosya.zip.
Please visit also Frosya's page on JSW Central. You can download there my RZX walkthroughs of all incarnations of the game. The walkthrough of "Frosya the Cat" is already available as video on the JSW Central YouTube channel, and videos of "Frosya the Cat - Lite Version" and "Jet Cat Frosya" will follow soon.
So once again a great thank you to Igor Makovsky for his support for these bugfixed versions and, of course, for the making the three editions of this great game in the first place! 👍

Here is my JSWED48 game, What a Wonderful World of Willie (no relation!😉)
Using of the TZX file is suggested for full experience! 🙂The .TAP is included, if somebody wants to check my game in JSWED. 🙂
The built-in helping option will not be activated, on emulator at least, if you should choose to load the .TAP.
You can find the release related post from here. Welcome to write any feedback there! 🙂
Thanks to JetSetDanny, it´s listed now on JSWcentral, too! 🙂

After watching Manic Miner Ports by RetroGamerDiaries I wondered if it would be possible to convert these levels back into the original Spectrum format.
The levels are from the Oric-1, Dragon 32, Amstrad CPC, BBC Micro and the Gameboy Advance releases and tries to replicate them as close as the original 48K game mechanic allows.
Here are the levels and the systems they came from.

Jet-Set Willy II, remade for Windows computers. created by Dan Richardson (code, additional graphics), Andy "loafjaw" Noble (graphics) and Matthew "4-mat" Simmonds (music)
this is quite rare to come across on the internet if you don't know where to look (which is quite a shame as it's absolutely excellent), so i've decided to put it here. this is a .7z file containing three .zip files, once again complete and unmodified.
v1.02 - "Windows Edition" - this is the version you'll be playing. a lot of the graphics from Andy Noble's JSW remake are reused here, and all of the music from that remake is reused (including the 7 unused "spare" tracks + a new track)
v1.0 - "Original Port" - this is a 100% faithful port of the original ZX Spectrum version complete with the ZX Spectrum graphics and music. not much else to say
v1.0 - "Game Builder" - this is the room editor which was used to create all the rooms in this remake. to use, put it in the directory of either version (the Windows Edition or the Original Port)
from the readme file of the Windows Edition:
from the readme file of the Original Port:
cheers!

jetsetdanny got a reaction from Spider for a file, JeT SeT JnR aNd ThE CuRsE oF ThE PhArAoH
I am thrilled to announce the release of Carl Paterson's third Jet Set Willy game: "JeT SeT JnR aNd ThE CuRsE oF ThE PhArAoH" 🙂. It is the first JSW game in which the protagonist is not Willy, but... his son! Yes, the years have passed by and Junior is not only a fine young man, but also an intrepid explorer, just like his dad. The two were taking part in an expedition to Egypt where they raided multiple tombs despite warnings that stealing the items carries a vengeful curse. And that curse has now struck Jet Set Junior who awakens in darkness surrounded by hieroglyph-covered walls, transported to the time of the pharaohs. Will you help him find his way home? Please refer to the Readme to check out the whole background story. And then embark on this new adventure, where you will face underground tunnels and flooded chambers, spirit guards, cursed tombs, flesh-eating scarabs, magic pools, flowers of fear and interdimensional generators. Remember that the All-Seeing Eye is following you... or is it Hatshepsut's gaze??? Collect all 256 cursed items, find the mysterious queen and help Willy get back to his reality through the Toilet of Time! You can achieve this without losing a single life... if you are an incarnation of the mighty ancient warriors... or if you save and reload snapshots or use Rollback. The game features: - 64 newly designed rooms; - Mostly new and some modified guardian sprites; - A difficulty level higher than in Carl's previous two games; - A custom-made title screen, custom font and other enhancements; - A new title-screen tune and 13 new in-game tunes, all of them 128 bytes long, never before used in a JSW game for the Spectrum; - Something extra at the completion of the game. The ZIP file includes the game in TAP and TZX format (v. 2 - this is the first public release), the Readme and info about the game's credits. Please download, enjoy, and may Amun-Ra and Osiris protect you during your quest! 😁 -

Jet-Set Willy, remade for MS-DOS/Windows/MacOS computers. created by Andy "loafjaw" Noble (code, graphics), Matthew "4-mat" Simmonds (music) and John Dow (testing, MacOS version)
gee, this was long overdue : p this is a .7z file containing two .zip files and a .dmg file, complete and unmodified. this also includes the readme .txt files for each of them (which is a requirement for distribution) along with a .txt file containing the cheat code for the Windows version, and a .rar file containing all the music the game uses, organized and saved as individual .xm files
v0.991 - MS-DOS - the MS-DOS version. requires a PC running MS-DOS (or an OS compatible with MS-DOS executables), but an emulator for modern PCs (like DOSBox) will do. also, make sure to run the .exe with "-fs" to force the sound configuration and set the sound quality to "Very high" or the music will sound like the taste of those cheap oily chocolate bars that you've eaten maybe once or twice
v0.76 - Windows - functionally the same as the MS-DOS version but with some new options in the options menu (like the ability to set the scale of the game window and a little jukebox allowing you to cycle through all of the game's music + the music from the older versions of the game like the Atari XL and the Amstrad CPC) and a different cheat code, and it can be run natively on modern Windows PCs : p
v0.62 - MacOS - ditto. not compatible with MacOS Catalina and later due to 32-bit executables not being supported
the screenshots above were taken with the Windows version of the game running on a 64-bit PC
unlike the file for Manic Miner PC there's no source code or graphics/sound effects. the data.dat file used in the Windows version can be opened with the Allegro grabber tool if you know the password it's encrypted with but out of respect for Andy i won't put it out there, sorry

jetsetdanny got a reaction from Spider for a file, León Willy
I am delighted to announce, on behalf of Pedro Magallares Ocaña, the release of his game “León Willy”. It utilises the standard JSW48 game engine, albeit with some modifications, featuring 64 brand-new rooms and 256 items to collect. The game also showcases 14 in-game tunes and a title-screen tune that have never been used in any JSW game before.
Pedro designed the game in 2001, creating a navigable and charming environment inspired by ancient cultures, historical events, movies, songs and his personal life. He published it on a Spanish forum dedicated to the video game scene, especially consoles, a few years later. That version did not seem to reach fans within the MM & JSW community though.
Fast forward to this year, where the game has been reborn and rejuvenated. Pedro graciously allowed me to handle some 'postproduction' aspects, including custom loading and title screens, musical arrangements, and a few other enhancements. The definitive version you can now download (in Spanish and English) showcases León Willy in his full feline prowess.
Willy wakes up after a very crazy night, disoriented and uncertain of his whereabouts, with the events of the previous night shrouded in mystery. His surroundings appear somehow transformed. Slowly, he recalls acquiring a new residence somewhere in Spain. The name "Villamagna" echoes persistently in his mind.
As Willy rubs the sleep from his eyes, a strange weight tugs at his head. Panic sets in as his fingers trace the features that now adorn his face. The once-smooth contours have been replaced by coarse fur, and his once-familiar nose has elongated into a feline snout. His breath catches in his throat as he touches the majestic, flowing mane that surrounds his head like a golden crown.
In disbelief, Willy stumbles towards the mirror, praying that the reflection would dispel the absurdity of his imagination. Yet, staring back at him is a creature he could never have anticipated. His eyes widen with shock and wonder as the golden eyes of a lion meet his gaze…
Please refer to the Readme for the rest of the background story, Pedro’s narrative about the history of the game and its various sources of inspiration, instructions, and detailed credits, acknowledgments, and thanks.
Apart from its atmospheric and diverse rooms, the game introduces some technical novelties. It is likely the first JSW48 game where, in some rooms, you can survive a fall from any height, while in others, you will meet your demise. This is clearly indicated by the colour of the room name - if it's green, you can fall safely, but if it's red, exceeding the normal falling height will result in death.
Another novelty involves the (varied) in-game tunes. The tune initiates from the first note if a different tune was playing before Willy entered the current room; however, it continues if the same tune was already playing. This should enhance the listening experience of the in-game music, which mostly consists of tunes from the Spanish-speaking world.
I trust you will enjoy Pedro’s debut game, and I hope that your positive feedback will encourage him to design more JSW games 🙂.

jetsetdanny reacted to Spider for a file, JSW KCE (Key Code Edition)
Following a discussion here about the JSW engine pausing after a life loss or other suitable delay to allow the player to re-adjust themselves, I decided just for fun to re-instate the key code protection request upon a life loss.
It will accept any code as I'm not cruel enough to demand the player enter the correct code.
The game was also much cut down to only a few rooms, 7 in total are present but only 6 of them are needed to complete the game and the other one is inaccessible without cheating.
The .zip contains:
The game file in regular .tap format, the game code is compressed slightly.
A map file, not that it would really be needed!
An .rzx playback although @jetsetdannyhas a much more efficient one, this was not included in the files as it was not part of the .zip released in the topic.
A brief readme detailing the changes to the game itself.

Manic 40 Miner
This file is posted elsewhere ---
Moved here because I found it very difficult to find ---
After I stopped developing the JSW128 VK VL VM engine. I spent a week writing a version of Manic Miner called Manic 40 Miner.
This does not contain any new rooms. They are the original and Ligans rooms.
This means this version contains 40 caverns, starting with the original 20 caverns, then continuing on with another 20 caverns originally desisigned by Ligan. (of those 20 caverns, some have been redesigned by me)
NOTE this runs in 48k the same as the original.
This has a built in part game editor ---- Not enough space to add more scope, when the room/cavern count has been doubled.

jetsetdanny got a reaction from Sendy The Endless for a file, AmAZiNG WiLLY
I am thrilled to announce the release of a new Jet Set Willy game: “AmAZiNG WiLLY”, created by Carl Paterson (CnP Projectz). The game features:
- 59 completely redesigned rooms;
- A fairly familiar map layout, which will nevertheless surprise you with brand-new, atmospheric screens and many exciting challenges;
- New and modified guardian sprites;
- 256 items to collect (yes, they can all be collected without losing a single life! - but it's not easy...);
- A moderate level of difficulty, which won’t put off a novice and won’t bore an expert either (lots and lots of running around and jumping is required to complete the game; oftentimes you’d really better think before you jump!);
- A richness of music incomparable to any previous release: a brand-new title-screen tune and more than a dozen in-game tunes, most of them 128-byte-long (twice as long as the original one) and most of them never heard before in a JSW game;
- A custom-made title screen, custom font and other enhancements;
- A toilet run like you’ve never seen before!
The ZIP file available for download includes the game in TAP and TZX format, the Readme and info about the game's credits.

jetsetdanny reacted to Norman Sword for a file, Manic Jet Set Willy V3
The last version I do of the combined Jet set Willy and Manic Miner. Time wise I only spent a few weeks on the main code. Overall I just kept on changing the file and adding bits and pieces to the game. No overall attempt at changing the original game play.
This file runs on a standard 48k spectrum and could have been released at the same time as the originals were released.
Keys on title screen -
<1> =change playing mode ,
<enter> = start game
game keys -
<enter> = toggle music on/off,
<H> = faster game play, shorter music notes
<J> = slower game play, longer music notes
<ASDFG> = pause, - display the high score
<QETUO> = Move left,
<WRYIP> = move right,
<ZXCVBNM>+<space> = jump.
objective collect the flashing keys, and accumulate monies
Difference from normal JSW and MM - A heavy fall or touching sprites or baddies will cost monies from Willies ready cash.
The solar beam will cost a lot of monies on contact with Willy.
Dropping Kong gains a lot of monies.
But do keep an eye on your ready cash - when it has all gone - it is game over.
This game is the compaction of Jet Set Willy and Manic Miner both originally 48k games. The compaction of the games allows for both to run (modified) in 48k.

jetsetdanny reacted to Norman Sword for a file, Manic Miner with automatic play
An extension for the automatic play version. In this version the game can be played in mono or as a block and block mono.
Created around may 2021:
To access the extended modes press "K" on the title screen. The keys in the option screen are all clearly shown.
V=version - either bug byte or software Projects graphics and logic
Z or X = change selected cavern
L = play this cavern automatically
H = play this cavern by scripted human play (still automatic)
Enter = play as normal
J = change the extended modes
In the mono screens the colours can be changed by pressing 1 to change the background (paper), and pressing 2 to change the foreground(ink). The code will stop the ink and paper being the same.
All the normal game keys

jetsetdanny got a reaction from MtM for a file, AmAZiNG WiLLY
I am thrilled to announce the release of a new Jet Set Willy game: “AmAZiNG WiLLY”, created by Carl Paterson (CnP Projectz). The game features:
- 59 completely redesigned rooms;
- A fairly familiar map layout, which will nevertheless surprise you with brand-new, atmospheric screens and many exciting challenges;
- New and modified guardian sprites;
- 256 items to collect (yes, they can all be collected without losing a single life! - but it's not easy...);
- A moderate level of difficulty, which won’t put off a novice and won’t bore an expert either (lots and lots of running around and jumping is required to complete the game; oftentimes you’d really better think before you jump!);

jetsetdanny reacted to Spider for a file, Characters
A small set of six characters:
Miner Willy on the Barrel
Miner Willy on the Plinth
Jet Set Willy on the Barrel
Jet Set Willy on the Plinth
Maria on the Barrel
Maria on the Plinth
All images are the same size (total 770px x 1282px) , each 'block' being 30px square with a 2px grid to help easily determine where each one starts and ends.
I did not create mirror images as that is easy enough to do and also subjective to if both the character and/or the object (Plinth/Barrel) should also be mirrored or not.
These may be suitable for printing out or perhaps via craftwork, creating a model of your own. Enjoy! 🙂

jetsetdanny reacted to Spider for a file, JSW Utility for Dragon 32/64
A small patch file for the Dragon 32/64 version of Jet Set Willy
Written in 1985 by Paul Burgin
There is a single option choice of:
Extra lives , Infinite lives or Immunity
The supplied .zip contains a standard .cas file for the Dragon. This should be loaded first then once options are chosen you're prompted to load in JSW
